PROGRESS Wrestling to host Second-Ever Chapter Show Outside of the UK at The Collective in Philadelphia
The Collective, the highly anticipated annual series of shows held during WrestleMania Weekend, will make its mark in Philadelphia next year. Coinciding with WWE WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field on 6th and 7th April, this year’s event is set to be a groundbreaking moment as PROGRESS Wrestling returns to the USA for the first time since 2019.
PROGRESS Wrestling, renowned for its compelling storytelling and electrifying action, will present Chapter 165: FREEDOM WALKS AGAIN at Penns Landing Caterers, Pennsylvania, on Friday,5th April, 2024, with a bell time of 3 PM EST. This historic event marks the second-ever PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter show outside of the UK, offering U.S. fans an unforgettable experience reminiscent of iconic UK venues like the Electric Ballroom in Camden.
PROGRESS Co-owner Lee McAteer expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “Those attending will be so close to not just U.S. historical landmarks but wrestling heritage, as the ECW Arena is just 5 minutes from the venue. You can run the Rocky steps, which are just 10 minutes away, and after all that, you’ll probably be hungry for the famous Pat’s Cheesesteaks within walking distance! Returning to the U.S is an important step for PROGRESS Wrestling”
Penns Landing Caterers is conveniently located minutes away from Philadelphia Airport, WrestleMania’s main events, RAW and Smackdown venues, and all the essential destinations during Mania Week.
Co-owner Martyn Best added, “This special chance to witness our first Chapter show since Mardi Graps in New Orleans – which was five years ago now – is such an exciting opportunity for our US fans. The Collective, spanning from 4th April to 6th April, will feature shows from renowned promotions like GCW, DEFY, DDT, and TJPW streaming on FITE TV. Moreover, it is more fantastic content for our own DEMAND PROGRESS PLUS viewing experience.”
