Remembering The Infamous Screw Job

Remembering The Infamous Screw Job

Twenty-seven years ago today marked the infamous Montreal Screwjob. Was it a work? Was it not? Who was in on it? Who didn’t know? For something that could be easily explained, the mix of pro wrestling’s grey areas and the deep dives into conspiracy theories have left us wondering. We may never truly know what happened that night at the Molson Centre.

World-famous podcaster Jim Cornette claims he gave Vince the finish that night. You can see Gerald Brisco grabbing Michaels, uttering something like, ‘Get the fuck out of here.’

I remember watching that night and seeing Hart spit that huge loogie on McMahon, and just thinking, ‘WTF?’ Then, he started destroying the announce area, which wasn’t uncommon—but this time, it seemed more intentional.
