The Gang is Back in Town

If you haven’t heard by now, SVW went on an epic road trip to visit other vintage shops, collect memorabilia and see what each stop had to offer foodwise. But the real question is, what really happened on this journey…What epiphany's took place? What insights were uncovered by the group? What city stood above the rest? I was able to check in and get those answers.

JustJayBe: Our followers want to know, how many times did Roman almost get thrown out the car?

Gunk: That kid's too big to throw.

Roman: I was forgotten every time we left.

Josh: Too many to count.

JustJayBe: What’s the coolest piece of memorabilia that y'all bought?

Gunk: Signed dusty VHS (but I’m happy I got a Finlay Mattel elite action figure).

Roman: Starrcade tape signed by Dusty Rhodes!

Josh: Dusty Rhodes VHS.

JustJayBe: What was your favorite vintage shop?

Gunk: Planet fun, Savannah Georgia.

Roman: Had to be either Crazy Cool Collectibles in Mooresville, NC or Planet Fun, Savannah, GA.

Josh: Super Gabby.

JustJayBe: Who drank the most? Who ate the most?

Gunk: Drank the most, Josh. Ate the most, probably Roman. That kid was up late night making hot dog quesadillas like a gremlin.

Roman: Josh drank the most easily, I may have eaten the most.

Josh: Me, Roman.

JustJayBe: What was the best menu item from the restaurants ya’ll visited? 

Gunk: I was going crazy with the biscuits and gravy at pretty much every southern breakfast spot we hit. 

Roman: Wiley’s championship BBQ, everything.

Josh: Shrimp cocktails.

JustJayBe: What was your biggest takeaway from the trip? 

Gunk: The south is pretty cool.

Roman: That there is wrestling and wrestling fans EVERYWHERE!

Josh: I can’t stand Roman.

JustJayBe: How was Orlando? What was it like going into the WWE performance center? 

Gunk: I didn’t go to the performance center for NXT, but Orlando was fun. I caught a couple fish.

Roman: Awesome! The performance center is very interesting, NXT is a lot more like a TV taping than the WWE shows you see in arenas.

Josh: Hot and sweaty, like by my balls.

JustJayBe: If ya’ll did the road trip again, what different cities would you want to visit?

Gunk: Without hesitation, Austin TX. It’s a city I’ve had on my checklist for a while now for a multitude of different reasons and Texas has always been a big wrestling state. 

Roman: Would love to go a little off the East coast, Memphis, Chicago, Austin, Houston, places like that.
