WWE's Global Expansion Continues in Scotland

Poster for Clash at the Castle: Scotland featuring Drew McIntyre

An argument can be made that right now WWE is firing on all cylinders. Gates are bigger than ever and the company is selling out shows at rates that haven't been seen since the much heralded Attitude Era. Simply put, WWE is one of the hottest tickets on the planet.

The #1 pro wrestling promotion has made sure to emphasize the "World" in World Wrestling Entertainment, holding multiple international PLE's in places such as Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Lyon, France, Perth, Australia, London, England with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. They get another chance to flex their muscles once again at Clash at the Castle: Glasgow, Scotland.

WWE superstar and former world champion, Drew McIntrye, gets another chance to win gold, this time in his home country against current World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest. McIntrye, who's been one of the more entertaining wrestlers in the company over the past year, finally won the gold in front of an audience, after not having that opportunity during his 2020 reign. McIntrye couldn't resist having one more chance to troll CM Punk and it backfired. Priest capitalized and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become the 2nd superstar in WWE history to cash in and win at WrestleMania.

McIntrye will attempt to rectify his mistake and redefine his legacy in front of friends and family. Will he succeed? We'll see. Regardless, look for "The Scottish Warrior" and "El Campeón" to put on a show in front of what's sure to be a raucous crowd.

Oh yeah, the rest of the card looks awesome too.
